Context
Mockup design for online grocery store for expats
Problem
The client was currently running all sales activity for the existing physical store through Facebook. Clients were not recognising the brand and the channel was not a sales platform, thus all kinds of problems arose for the client and their customers. Finally, the client wanted to see how a store might look like before actually investing in development.
Process
The logo was redesigned based on multiple iterations, and a typeface, color scheme, and graphic elements were proposed. Next, a small competitor analysis was done within the small area of the physical store. Following the client's wishes, together with the redesign the existing item categories & themes, a simple sitemap was proposed with most important features.
Solution
The result was a site mockup, which if it followed the set brand guidelines, would provide more recognaissance in time. Furthermore, it would be a platform which would streamline the sales efforts of the client, especially if some processes were given more clarity (ex. transport).
Some Lessons & Future Developlment
Even though good on their own, some solutions need to be created in such a way that a client can update them after hand-off.
